Authentic French culinary experiences with Nadège
“You’re French, but you’re blond—how come?!” someone once asked me. Well, I hail from Normandy, France’s Viking region, where I like to think I inherited a touch of their features—along with a love for the incredible foods they brought, like cereals, meats, and cheeses. The horned helmet? Lost it somewhere along the way!
I grew up in a small village near Cherbourg, where my passion for cooking took root, nurtured by my wonderfully supportive family. In 2001, I spread my wings and moved 9,000km south to Cape Town, bringing my love for French cuisine, culture, and roots to share in a vibrant new home. South Africa’s rich history and incredible ingredients—from bustling markets to local delis—inspire my cooking every day.
In Cape Town, I teach French cooking classes, sharing classics like pissaladière, moules marinières, coq au vin, boeuf bourguignon, tarte tatin, and crème brûlée. The menu is endless, and I tailor classes to your preferences—novice or expert, we cook and enjoy the meal together!
From April to September, I lead culinary tours in France, from 7 to 10 days, guided or self-driven. In Normandy, my dad drives us, my mom handles logistics, and I’m your guide, chef, translator, and friend. On other tours, I take the wheel! We visit markets, charming villages, gastronomic restaurants, and artisan producers, with cooking classes to master traditional recipes. No expertise needed—just a love for food and celebration!
Join me in Cape Town or France for a finger-licking experience. Watch our Normandy tour video to see the adventure awaiting you. À bientôt!
